Parent and Child Care Provider First Aid Course

Would you know what to do in a medical emergency? First aid and CPR can save lives.

King’s College Hospital London – Abu Dhabi Clinic is a certified training site for American Heart Association Heartsavers Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course. We offer how to deal with the following situations:

  • Paediatrics First Aid Basics
  • Bleeding & bandaging
  • CPR & AED for children
  • How to help a choking infant/child
  • Allergic reactions
  • Bites & stings
  • Illnesses & injuries
  • CPR for infants
  • How to use an epinephrine pen
  • Burns
  • Asthma

A course that anyone can take specially parents, schoolteachers and child care workers. It teaches childcare providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

During the course, an AHA instructor conducts video- based lessons and work with students to completer their first aid, CPR and AED skills practice and testing.

The course is accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive the AHA certification card, which is valid for 2 years.

*The following can be the participants: Camp counsellors, childcare workers, coaches, and foster care workers, others responsible for children including parents, grandparents, babysitters, guardians, teachers and youth group leaders.
